New Constitution Awaiting Approval

The new constitution for the Union of Democratic States has been handed off to a public vote as of this morning.

Among the changes is the new, more unique preamble: “The nations of The Union of Democratic States, in pursuit of the greater goal of a union that shall stand the many tests that will come forth upon it, found a republic from which all nations will be free to express their political beliefs, establish a blind legal system that shall treat all citizens just and fair, authorize the creation of a regional militia that shall serve to safeguard our rights and freedoms, do ordain and establish this constitution for all nations that abide in this region The Union of Democratic States.”

There’s also the highly anticipated Council of State, which will be elected for the first time next Friday. We’re hoping to have special coverage on Election Day as it winds down.

And, of course, as expected, the Vice Prime Minister and Vice Attorney General posts have been removed. However, in the place of the Vice Premiership a cabinet has been developed, and it includes a Deputy Prime Minister.

The full text can be reviewed through Google Docs by going through several links on Discord and NationStates.

Citizens have three days to vote, and the polls close at around midnight on the 27th.
