Public Not Sure if Lack of Candidates “Worrying”

8 nations were polled and interviewed on their stances on the upcoming election on March 31st.

Worry is abound. Half of all nations polled were certain of the fact that the lack of candidates was disturbing.

The other half? They weren’t confident enough to say the situation was fine.

Some were incredibly concerned, like their Interim Speaker Brittalia, who stated: “I'm concerned that people might be intimidated by the people running for office, thus the lack of candidates.”

Others were unfazed, such as Attorney General Khevo, who is up for reelection: “Some people simply aren't interested in participating in government yet. I personally have encountered nations who are thinking about helping out sometime in the future. Others, such as myself, are extremely excited to help our region grow, while others just wish to develop their own nation.”

Nevertheless, the results also showed great confidence in the budding Council of State, when the question “What do you think about the power of the new Council of State?” was posed. 75% of respondents said that the Council seemed to be just powerful enough.

But the sun has set on the positions of Vice Prime Minister and Vice Attorney General, at least in the public’s eyes. 75% said that they thought the Vice Premiership was unnecessary, leading to rumors that the new constitution would do away with the role, later to be confirmed. And 50% said that they wouldn’t need a Vice Attorney General in the government.

75% of respondents also said that they would certainly be open to a debate or town hall on Discord.
