Lazarus Overtaken
One of the largest regions of NationStates has been overtaken by an oppressive regime.
Lazarus, a space-themed region hailing as the second home of many prominent citizens of the Union, was overtaken during its elections for the Sovereign, a position holding the power of the World Assembly Delegacy.
Funkadelia, the instigator, took power democratically and then twisted and abused it to ban several nations, including Kanglia and members of the Lazerene government, in a turn to the dark side.
The transgression has been decried as the work of raiders and defenders fighting over Lazarus, which left a power gap filled by Funadelia and several co-conspirators.
We talked to Kanglia, a dual UDS/Lazarus citizen, on his opinion:
“All of the UDS is going to have to stand strong with the true government of Lazarus in this time of crisis.”
However, we also asked what he would do as General-at-arms, to which he responded that he was considering the possibility of a draft if things got worse.
And when we asked how the UDSAF is also handling the situation, he responded with:
“Presently the UDSAF is taking measures to [manipulate influence levels]. The government has not taken action.”
There will be no declaration of war against the rogue government, but citizens are still encouraged to contact Kanglia if they wish to join the UDSAF.
